New Magnolia Bridal Luncheon invitations are now in the shop. The default paper is a linen finish, but i think they also look nice on the cream and metallic paper options.

My good friend Matt who runs chaLahc designs asked me to design a logo for his business. He's marvelous with room staging, antique sleuthing and finding just the right item you need for interior design. He also raises Llamas which is why we had work one into the design.
I think the design of the Nine West fragrance Love Fury is very clever. I like the balance of soft, feminine pink tones with the sleek, sexy stiletto heel pump. I have no idea what the fragrance is like, but the packaging is intriguing enough to make me sample it. Product design is a powerful, powerful thing and I'll readily admit being drawn to items simply because of their physical beauty.
So I've been thinking about ways to market my design business beyond traditional methods and realized I wasn't paying much attention to face-to-face branding. I use my iPhone so much that I figured it ought to work for me so I made a custom case with my branding and also got a fancy nametag as well. This I only wear in tradeshow settings or to Chamber of Commerce meetings. Yes, I do forget I'm wearing it after I leave meetings and walk around like a geek wondering why people are looking at my chest. I like that the newer tags now come with magnetic backs instead of pin backs so you don't have to spear your clothes. Here's a link if you want to make a custom case for your own iPhone.
Here's a fun piece I got to work on recently. It's a super simple magnetic memo board. You basically need sheet metal, some enamel spray paint, ribbon, buttons and magnets. Drill some holes, paint the sheet metal, glue buttons or doodads to your magnets, add a ribbon to hang and voila—you're done. I love styling photoshoots and I worked with photographer Mark Wagoner on this particular project.
