How cool is this edible spray paint for food? I give it bonus points for being metallic. You can find it at The Deli Garage. via {oh joy!}

Today was a fun day work. I got to do some food styling for a bizarre sandwich story. The main ingredient was sardines. It was a smelly job, but fun and the resulting sandwich looked pretty tasty. The photographer even burst out into a chorus of the "Fish Head" song and I joined in. Good times.
Scored this vintage recipe book the other day from Oster. I love that photo on the cover. Hello 1960. All of the recipes are for your blender! Can't wait to try some out.
I like photo challenges. Guess the location of this photo montage and win a set of Prismacolor artist colored pencils. A random winner from the correct responses will be chosen on Wednesday, January 4th. Happy New Year! Comment on this post to enter your guess.
I enjoy a good hand-painted window and this one is in Galena, IL.
Have you noticed the trend of gourmet marshmallows popping up everywhere? I even heard an NPR piece the other day. I must say I'm a total fan. I first ran across them a few months back while shooting at Sucre in New Orleans. These handmade confections make the bag puffs pale in comparison and come in scores of flavors. Mia Mallows dabbles in such deliciousness as pomegranate, bavarian creme and lavender.
I love eggnog, but some people don't. If you fall into the latter camp and still want to imbibe a traditional holiday beverage, try making Syllabub. This concotion is frothy just like the snowman. Since it's a bit boozy that's how the lyrics will sound as well after you have a few glasses ...
Oh, frothy, the 'thoman, wuzza jolly happy sssoul ...
