Cute and functional always gets two thumbs up in my book. These Babuska Tea Infusers add a little fun to tea time. From time to time we try to switch from coffee to tea, but I just can't stay away from the java.
Zucchini "fettucine"
Zucchini "fettucine" is one of my new favorite recipes for getting more vegetables in our diet. Simply peel two to three medium to large zucchinis and then shave strips into a saute pan with a vegetable peeler. Next add just enough water to coat the bottom of the pan along with a little olive oil, pepper and parmesan cheese. Cover the pan and turn heat to medium high and steam the concoction for five to seven minutes depending on how crisp or limp you prefer your zucchini. Bon apetit!
Klyde Warren Park
The new Klyde Warren Park in the heart of downtown Dallas is a marvel. It sits atop a tunnel going through downtown and is a hub of socializing. Dog runs, playground, chess, a lending library and more make this an enchanting place to be in fine weather.
Pot de Creme
My favorite dessert at Bonnie Ruth's.
Lasagna "cupcakes"
Oh yes! I've been looking for a bite-size recipe to take to a pot-luck gathering and these lasagna "cupcakes" are perfect. Check out the recipe and how-to over at Emily Bites. She takes recipes and "lightens" them up to be more healthy.
Vintage Cocktail Shakers
A well-mixed drink is a thing of beauty to behold and to consume. I think these vintage cocktail shakers would add a dash of panache to the process.
