A while back I did a post about the cutest hedgehog pins. I'm still crushing on them at the moment and here are some of my favorite Etsy shops and their take on these cute critters:

Painting with pressed flowers. I did a double-take when I saw a piece by Blossoms of the Rockies at a local art event. At first glance you don't notice the colors of the "painting" are made from hundreds of pieces of flora. The husband and wife team cultivate, pick and press every sprig themselves. They even sell quality flower presses if you've ever been tempted to try your own hand at petal painting.
Justin Preston makes some interesting upcycled lamp constructions from old tins, electronics and mason jars. I like the quirky mix of elements. I get an H.G. Wells The Time Machine vibe from these.
Legos. Our childhood friends. Here are a few Etsy artists who've upcycled the little plastic bricks into new products.

This DIY upcycled salsa jar yarn caddy is an excellent idea. I'm forever chasing a ball of yarn as it unrolls itself across the room when I'm crocheting. Clever. See even more uses for used jars at Home Made Simple.
Awwww. How cute are these custom "Sweethearts" lovebirds made by Ann Wood. They're handmade and no two are precisely alike. What a special detail for a wedding.
How flirty and feminine is this DIY fabric ruffle necklace? There's a lovely tutorial over at the happy together blog. Jessica's original inspiration came from a piece of jewelry just shy of $200. It's amazing that it looks equally striking on either the delicate chain or the bolder, heavy links.
