I met the talented Holly York of Cherry Lane Textiles recently and wanted to share her shop with you. If you love fabrics you should take a look at her Etsy shop. She also has some very cute patterns. Makes me want to pull out my sewing machine and finally get the stitch tension adjusted so I can do some sewing again.

Aren't these wooden medal brooches adorable? They're made by Maxine Turnock of LittlePeche, her Etsy shop.
This disposable coffee cup called "Compleat" is a nice advance in designing products with less waste. Peter Herman of Ellenzwieg and Daren Bascome of Proverb, partnered to create this paper cup that folds creating a lid and drinking spout. This removes the need for a separate plastic lid and hence less waste. The product is in the pre-production phase and they are also hoping to waterproof the paper with a celluluse-based plastic that can be composted. via | fast company design
I really like the simple yet bold color palette Lara Cameron uses to design her textiles. They feel retro and timeless simultaneously.
