Oh how this made me chuckle today. "Hipster Barbie & Ken" by Erica can be found in her Etsy shop Framed to Perception. She's a budding photography student in Atlanta. Be sure to check out Redneck Barbie and Ken while you're there.

Now this is what I call a dream house. Cinderella Moments is charming Etsy shop and this beauty is a reserved custom dollhouse with a farmhouse theme. I found this wonderful array of handmade shabby chic creations by using the "Shop Local" function on Etsy. I love discovering artists in my own back yard!
What is it about old clawfoot bathtubs that is so romantic to me? I love these upcycled bathtubs that have been given new life as couches by the talented people at Ruff House Art. Spectacular.
I enjoy a good hand-painted window and this one is in Galena, IL.
Have you noticed the trend of gourmet marshmallows popping up everywhere? I even heard an NPR piece the other day. I must say I'm a total fan. I first ran across them a few months back while shooting at Sucre in New Orleans. These handmade confections make the bag puffs pale in comparison and come in scores of flavors. Mia Mallows dabbles in such deliciousness as pomegranate, bavarian creme and lavender.
I love the design sensibility of Emily Zych at Which Goose. Her Etsy shop is packed with her handmade lovelies. In case you didn't know, I adore fingerless gloves. My favorite pair has gone missing and these caught my fancy.
We've been trying hard this year to buy handmade or home grown whenever possible. Here's a recent piece we found at The Other Half gallery in Winston-Salem, NC. Most of our everyday dinnerware is now a growing collection of individual pieces by potters from around the country. This lovely bowl is by Jennifer Mecca. I have a soft spot for artists who attended my alma mater—ECU. Go Pirates! I love the details surrounding the bowl and the messages she puts on the bottom of all her pieces. Charming!
