My craft table is in a state of mayhem. While the end result of things made on the table are pretty, the process is not. New Year's Resolution: get organized!
Sleep masks
I think I need to purchase a sleep mask. After staying up to usher in the New Year and sleeping till nearly noon yesterday, I found myself awake all last night tossing and turning. The faint glow from the alarm clock seemed like headlights illuminating the room.
Here are some of my favs on Etsy:
1. Silk Devilry eye mask @ LoveBabyGrand
2. Charcoal Damask eye mask @ oddsnblobs
3. French lavender aromatherapy cat eye mask @ Naomilingerie
Beautiful sewing cabinet refresh
Take a look at this gorgeous sewing cabinet refresh by Betsy Speert. I especially like the ruler stencil she used on the top and you can see the nitty gritty of how she did it on her blog. I've been searching for a new sewing box—the one I've had since I was nine years old bit the dust in our last move. I nearly cried. Now I'm thinking that upgrading to sewing cabinet is worth exploring after seeing Betsy's creation.
Garbage bag ghosts
Halloween is my favorite holiday, but I wanted to try some upcycling for decorations this year. I realized with a circular piece of cardboard, a garbage bag and a twist tie, a very credible ghost could be created. Here's a photo of one blowing in the breeze. Now it's time to carve the pumpkin!
Upcycled sweater pumpkins and more

2. Upcycled sweater pumpkin @ whimsysworkshop
3. Chevron pumpkin pillows @ houseofhardy

Stitches by Sarah Jane Studios
Aren't these embroidery patterns by Sara Jane Studios fresh and fetching? I particularly like the "Use it up, wear it out — make it do, or do without" pattern.
