This image is from a 1908 magazine advertisement for corsets. I'm so very glad fashion is more comfortable these days.
Free vintage image - dancers
I love this image of a couple dancing from the 1920's. Isn't the trailing scarf detail on that dress pretty fabulous? Of course it would be in the dip or my soup if I tried to wear a style like that.
Doorway element - free image
This pretty little vintage illustration of a doorway could be used atop personal stationery or perhaps a handmade greeting card for a new home.
Featured fabulous - Carouselink
I stumbled across Carousel ink today while perusing Etsy and I was enchanted. It's got a burlesque Halloween vibe going on and those are some of my favorite things. Here are a few items that caught my eye.
Toaster - free vintage image
Today's free image from my collection is an illustration of a vintage toaster. In fact, I used to have a toaster like this. Instead of the bread popping up from the slots, the sides of this toaster folded down and you flipped the bread manually to toast each side. Ah, the good old days.
Tea party - free vintage image
Today's freebie is an illustration of two little girls having a tea party.
Thimble - free vintage image
This vintage illustration of thimble makes me understand why people collect them (thimbles that is, not illustrations of them.) The detail is beautiful. Click the image access a high resolution file.
