Spoonflower has added the ability to design custom wallpaper and wall decals to its services. Most of you probably already know about Spoonflower, the print-on-demand fabric service where you can design your own textiles. Here's the champagne glass pattern I've been working with.
Green retail at Vine
Amazon is behind a new retail site called Vine that specializes in "green" products. Items that are energy-efficient, organic, made of sustainable materials, are water-efficient or contribute to healthier home. Amazon acquired the parent company Quidsi in 2010. They are currently offering free 2-day deliver on orders over $49. You can also get at 20% discount off your first order with the code VINE20 at checkout. Expires October 11, 2012.
Wallpaper from the 70s
Wallpaper from the 70s is a fresh and funky resource for really bold designs with a modern take on retro flair. Here are some of my favs.
Jenn Ski Placemats
Want. These. Eco-friendly placemats by decorator/illustrator Jenn Ski have a great mid-century modern vibe and would look great in my dining room. Seriously. You can get a set of 4 for $29 in her Esty shop.
Fabric decals at Love Mae
Too darned cute. These fabric decals at Love Mae are removable and reusuable. Charming.
Bodacious Brads
The brads following the curves of the arms on these chairs at Hotel Monaco are lovely. I'm thinking of trying a little DIY furniture update with this technique.
Cast iron whatnots
I'm seeing cast iron whatnots everywhere these days. There's one paricular booth at the flea market I always visit just to see what's new. Mermaids seem to be the hot item of the moment. Anyone else out there collect something interesting? These particular examples came from ByTheSeashoreDecor on Etsy.
